I used this to marry my stock exhaust with a pair of Triumph mufflers on my Honda CB450 product. It was a direct slip in/on in my case.

Installing reverse cone muffler on a Bonneville
I purchased these to gain the corrected angle needed to install reverse cone mufflers on my 06 bonneville. The factory header pipe tips out and up and without these the mufflers stick out from the bike to far. These adapters allowed my play around with the angles and get the mufflers in the right spot.
