Happily surprised!
I bought a bike ('99 BMW f650) which had conventional damper rod forks. Which sucked. I was leery of the claims of the fork emulator. However, the directions were amazingly logical. I made two tries on the adjustment of the emulator, both adjustments meant pulling the cap and fork springs to get to the emulator. And, I changed the fork oil. (Start with 5 wt.) After two tried at adjustment I have forks which can handle squared off bumps and ripples in the road surface and NOT dive excessively under hard braking.
