Better than the reviews.
Just got these, though I understand they are a discontinued product from Skull Candy. I took a chance based on the positive reviews of the Skull Candy Aviator headphones even though I am mostly aware of this brand for their low cost earbud offerings. Well, I'm seriously considering buying another pair of Aviators just to have in the future in the event something happens to mine. Comfortable, lightweight, stylish, and most importantly, great fidelity. While most reviews agree that the bass is weak I would strongly disagree. They have plenty of bass frequencies present in the balance while the highest frequencies are dampened. That's not a bad characteristic in something placed this close to your eardrums and there's still enough high-end to keep the mids from taking over which would create a muddy mix. I'm a rock bassist and drummer as well as a music producer and these perform great for my recreational use. I would guess that if you are into a tighter digital mix with more sub-bass like hip hop or today's R&B, along with the ultra-precision of autotune, then you'd probably be happier with Dr. Dre's Beats headphones. If you're into rock, blues, jazz and country, I'd say you've found your next set of headphones.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

One of the best wired headphones under $100.00
I like the sound but I like the fact these aviator-shaped headphones are so comfortable around your ears. I have four of these headphones in different colors.
