Excellent product but needs a slight modification.
I would have given this product a 5 rating but the design needed a small modification. The distance between the rubber that attaches to the foot control housing and the solder tips is too short for my model 401 foot control unit. I had to remove the last four inches of cord to be able to use the product. A longer distance between the rubber attachment and the solder tips would solve the problem.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not a direct replacement part.
This cord is not a direct replacement for the cord on a Singer 194828 foot pedal for a 403 machine. It was necessary to make the following changes: 1. Add ring terminals to the wire ends. 2. Move the strain relief about 3/4" farther from the terminal end of the cord. Boil in water to do this. 3. Modify the strain relief to fit the slot in the foot pedal housing. It works well after these modifications but some people might not want or be able to do them. I would have returned the product but was in a hurry to get the machine running.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
