It’s really small
I’m working in HO and I’ve done about five Athearn Blue Box Geep conversions and a couple steam engines to DCC with sound so far. All work great. Now I’m workong on six Athearn Blue Box SW1500’s (actually SW7’s) and I cant find a sound Decoder that will fit along with a speaker. It was suggested that I try one of these Digitrax minis. Apparently they are made. For NScale but the specs say they’ll run an HO locomotive, but no sound. The price is right, so why not try it? The tiny thing arrived today and I didn’t install it yet, but there is no doubt it will fit. I do hope it works as advertised but I am still going to try to find something that gives me some engine sound. It is about half the size I suspected. I installed it in a legacy HO Athearn SW1500 1500 switcher and it worked perfectly. Update: ran it for a cpoupe hours and it stoppedvworking entirely. I had it pulling snoutca cars on flat Terran and it was drawing about .5 amps max.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Heavy duty decoder
Good, high amperage capacity decoder with tons of functions and features. Only "glitch" is if you have a. "firebox flicker" on F1, and Rule 17 dimming for your headlight, you CANNOT turn off the firebox with the function key. Even Digitrax can't explain it..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
