Perfect Knife!
This isn't a super flashy knife, but it means business. The machined titanium scales feel great in the hand, and the blade deploys every time with a slight flick of the thumb (Oh, that sound:). I'm extremely satisfied with this knife, and glad I purchased it, even though it is by far the most expensive knife I have bought to date. It is a terrific knife, I encourage you, if you do purchase it, to take the time to examine the tolerances, grinds and machining closely... it will only make you appreciate it more!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Best made Marlin spike
After being in the Navy, I know the importance of a good Marlin spike. I have an extensive collection of marlin spikes. The Syderco Tusk is now the best one it that collection. Expensive but worth it.
This is 2nd Spyderco Tusk. This one is a better knife than my 1st. The blade came wickedly sharp from the factory. My 1st one didn't come with as fine an edge as my new one has. The steel the blade is made holds an edge very well but is hard to sharpen. I was able to obtain a good cutting angle on the 1st blade but it took a looong time and optional diamond tri sticks for my Spyderco sharpening set which I bought because of this knife. I've always sharpened my knives with a conventional sharpening stone but not this one. I sail so the marlin spike was a big part of the reason I repurchased this particular knife. I live on a farm and carry this knife daily. The spike works well on horse tack as well. Ergonomics are outstanding. Fits very well in your hand and opens easily. It's gone through Christmas and opening all the card board boxes that goes along with having kids in the house. Touched it up with a leather strop tonight and it's back to shaving sharp again.
