    Keep looking!!

    What I received were nothing more than sheet metal screws. The points of the screws were still very pointy. The picture shows them being dulled. Mine were not. I could have just have gone to the hardware store and bought sheet metal screws!!! The heads on these screws are NOT designed to grip slippery material. These are really just sheet metal screws. If you look at the studs by other manufacturers you will see that they have beveled edges to aid in traction. If you are desperate to add traction to your wading boots, then these will do. But, if you are not, go purchase studs designed for the task.

    Haven't used these yet

    These studs arrived quickly and are exactly what I pictured. Unfortunately, one of the wading boots I intended to install the studs into threw a sole only a day or two after they were received. I've just gotten new wading boots and haven't installed the studs yet, but at this point I feel certain they'll meet my expectations. They were definitely priced fairly.
