Although I bought the wrong book
This is an excellent coming of age novel, set in 1942. I was apparently to young to read it when it came out, but it rings true today. Beautifully written. not to be missed, also good for adolescents. Actually it is an easy read and not too long.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
