Perfect for the seasoned harpist or those who are just starting out, the Fender Blues Deluxe Harmonica is versatile enough for any level of player. 10-Hole Diatonic Harmonica. Fender Blues Deluxe Harmonica.
I bought a Fender Blues Deluxe in the key of F, which can be a problematic key for many brands of harmonicas. After playing it for a few practice sessions, I can say that I am very pleased with this harp. It has a bright, clear, tone--very pure--and came right out of the box in tune and sounding great. Very responsive, and easy to bend notes, it feels very comfortable to play. I am no pro, but I do have a pretty large assortment of harmonicas to compare the Blues Deluxe to. Iit is definitely not as airtight as a Special 20, but is similar in profile and airtightness to the Lee Oskars I have owned, which for me is just okay. Every player is different, and harps fit people differently, but this one seems to fit me well. My only criticism is that it is not loud like a Marine Band or a Special 20, but it is loud enough for practice.
I have no idea if this harp is durable enough for professional work, but it does sound pretty good.
I am impressed .. blew me away. Sounds as good as my Hohner 532s for a fraction of the price
I am impressed .. Needed a Cheap Key of F as I only have one song that I need this for ... OMD-If You Want to Get to Heaven. ... blew me away. Sounds as good as my Hohner 532s for a fraction of the price. The Fender is definitely not built as well as a 532 ..plastic instead of wood so won't last as long. Fender is extremely easy to play and I haven't found a note tuned wrong or squeaky. Similar to a Hohner Blues Band but comes in a sturdy plastic case (like the 532).
Don't know how long it will last but so far so good.
Have Hohner blues harps and special 20s. Took a shot with the Fender Blues Deluxe to fill in some keys. Wow ! Great sound. Easy to play. Notes bend in the sweets spot of the harp. Have not played may other harps or any of the more expensive ones. But these seem to have sounded good to people who have heard them play. I'm happy.
