Software works with Windows 10!!!! Cables are made very well. Watch the video tutorials on DVD disc and setup is a breeze!!! Very happy with this purchase. Connector ca't fit in to test.
I bought Yamaha YDS system last month but can't connect to Yamaha engine Z300hp HPDI model 05/05 year's model(Z300TUR - 1003319 & LZ300TUR - 1001617) outboard because the socket of the engine part is rectangular shape 6 pin but YDS provided socket is square shape with 3 pin. Totally different socket.

Really neat high tech tool.
Really like it and very neat tool. Takes a little computer work to get it set up. Not just insert disk and go. Paying close attention and following every step of the included direction video I had it running in about 15mins. Once plugged in to ECM I was able to see amazing information, Total Hours, what rpm the hours were spent at, engine trouble codes and the date they were tripped etc... Easy to use, great value, perfect for diagnostics!
Bought this for a 2002 FX140 Waverunner which is the first year for 4-stroke. It works great! It has all the diagnostic info you could ask for and has history apparently from day 1. It has statistics. Cannot be happier with this. Once you get it installed (watch the video carefully on the COM1 port) it is easy to simple and use and the diagnostics are pretty intuitive to navigate. Pro's & Con's of Merchantdise
PROS: has everything that you need to service Yamaha marine outboard motors from parts catalog, diagnostics, workshop manuals, YDIS manual (v1.33), USB drivers for your computer, has a long cord and a price that is affordable. CONS: 2 piece plug that connects together 2nd cord that connects to computer (USB), looks flimsy and cheap it should of been double shielded like the 1st cord. nice but don't work for me
Well the cables were very nice. The software was easy to install, but contrary to what it said in the description it does not work with my 2016 Yamaha 242 Limited S. The soft ware will only support YDS compatible engines up to 2013 in boats. I don't know about outboards. I would have needed the 2.0 version of the software.
