Fell Apart :(
I received the item in a timely manner which was great, but when I tried to use it, the tips broke apart (fell apart) before I was even able to test them out. Good news is when I put in a claim for a refund to get my money back, that process was hassle free and was instantly approved. I wish the tips were sturdy and put together a bit better so I could test them out. Quality and durability issues in Weller soldering gun tips
These Weller soldering gun tips have been steadily coming down in quality, to the point that they split and become nonfunctional after very little use. I believe it helps to clean the tip after each use, but the shape of the tip just below its point is a weak point and it will break there every time. This has nothing to do with the Seller, who did a fine job. I've moved much of my antique radio soldering work to a high wattage (40W) soldering iron, like the old soldering pencils used for PC board work but with more power.
