Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger
This movie is rated G and is family-friendly. It centers around a group of students from a British school who enter a Christmas song competition at the prodding of their very silly teacher's aide. They compete against other schools to determine the best performance for a prize. All the choirs featured have some talented children performing. Children will want to sing along with some of the performances. Some of the story lines are a little far fetched, but add to the comedy of this movie. This movie stars David Tennant (Broadchurch, Doctor Who) and Marc Wootton. It also includes Ian McNeice (Doc Martin) and Pam Ferris (Call the Midwife, Where the Heart is, Rosemary and Thyme). All the actors listed perform their roles well. Tennant plays a teacher (and his twin brother), Wootton is an eternally optimistic teacher's aide who is silly, has a good heart, but is academically challenged. Ferris plays the headmistress of the school, who keeps Wootton's character on at the school despite his academic deficiencies (because he is related). McNeice plays Tennant's father, who does not think much of his son's choice of careers. There are lessons to be learned at the end of the film.
