The Pentax K-3 DSLR Camera is an advanced DSLR featuring a 23.35MP APS-C CMOS sensor and PRIME III image processor to produce high-resolution still imagery and full HD 1080i/p video with high low-light sensitivity to ISO 51200. Full-resolution continuous shooting is supported up to 8.3 fps for 22 consecutive RAW frames, with a top shutter speed of 1/8000 sec., and the SAFOX11 autofocus system utilizes 27 focus points, with 25 cross-type points, to maintain sharp focus in a quick and accurate manner. Benefitting the image quality is a selectable anti-aliasing filter, which can be turned on or off to either garner the highest resolution and sharpness possible or provide enhanced protection against moir. Additionally, in-camera Shake Reduction image stabilization renders any K-mount lens stabilized and helps to minimize the appearance of camera shake when working with greater shutter speeds or longer focal lengths. The K-3's body design incorporates 92 special seals to render it cold, dust, and weather-resistant and the magnesium alloy cover with stainless steel chassis contribute to overall durability and ruggedness. A 0.95x magnification optical pentaprism viewfinder is incorporated into the body as well as a 3.2 1,037k-dot LCD monitor for a choice of bright, clear viewing means. Dual SD card slots extend the recording versatility of the camera and FLU memory card support enables wireless image transferring and remote camera control possibilities when in use. The SMC Pentax DA 50-200mm f/4-5.6 ED WR Lens is a medium-range 4X telephoto zoom, designed for exclusive use with PENTAX KAF-mount digital SLR cameras. This DA 50-200mm zoom features a responsive Quick-Shift Focus System that allows photographers to instantly switch the focus mode from auto to manual with a slight twist of the focus ring.Product Identifiers

Everything but the kitchen sink
I came over to Pentax from the Canon world (EOS 6D) because of the Pentax K-3 II. Built in image stabilization, dual card slots, huge megapixel count for a crop sensor camera, and GPS made this a really compelling camera. It took me a while to get used to the Pentax menu system, but the general controls/features are easy to find. I like how the display rotates 90 degrees when you rotate the camera, a nice touch that I haven't seen on other DSRL bodies. It's little touches like that that really make Pentax stand out from the crowd. The camera is small, but feature packed and feels great in my big hands. The only thing missing is built in Wi-Fi. Not sure why Pentax would leave that out, but they do have the FLU Card so you can easily add Wi-Fi using one of the available SD card slots. The price point is amazing, and lenses are smaller and more affordable than similar Canon glass.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Hands down the best APS-C image quality of any camera I have used
Small, tough, and good handling are just a few of the attributes of this great camera, but all Pentax cameras through the years have had these qualities. What sets the K3 apart is image quality, hands down the best image quality of any APS-C sensor camera I have ever used. You really need to compare K3 images side by side with images from another camera to see what I mean. I even did a side-by-side test pitting the K3 against the full-frame K1 and it gave its bigger brother a run for the money. A negative? The K3 is a battery hog, so be sure to have extra batteries handy, and get and use the battery grip and its AA battery insert, which works fine with NiMH rechargeables. The K3 is now my go-to camera for weddings, pageants and portraits, and with the K1 in my bag for big groups I'm all set!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Awsome camera Ricoh/ Pentax creates a winner!
I bought this camera new from a dealer I found on eBay. I have owned Pentax cameras in the past, both film and digital (KR-10 and KR-50). This camera is the best of them all. It's a Pentax and works great with old Pentax lenses

Second K-3 as backup for the one I've almost worn-out (maybe).
A truly superior product from Pentax. I've used a K-3 Silver Edition for a couple of years. Shutter count is nearing 70k, and since I'm taking on some more critically time-sensitive shoots (once-in-a-lifetime moments don't wait for you to borrow someone else's rig) I felt the need to add a backup.
