Beats any pomade hands down. Does not turn to liquid when left in hot car. Which means it doesn't turn to liquid an make your hair look like a sloppy oil change in any weather. Dapper Dan (old formula)
The light colored tin (whiteish) is a stickier, stronger version than the new Dapper Dan Medium Hold tin (reddish/brown). I definitely prefer the old formula. They are both medium hold and medium shine but they are very different. The new formula is slicker and more wet looking. Hope this helps.
