Better than the Original!
This replacement knob is actually better than the original. It has a metal reinforcement band around the inner connector. Though this makes it a very snug fit, a little lubricant and patience will aid in its installation. Once on, you will notice that the timer turns much more smoothly and is easier to set.

Replacement GE dryer knob
Better than the factory knob that cracked on the stem of a 4 year old dryer that is well taken care of. This new knob has a metal ring around it to keep it from splitting much better design I'm very happy with it and don't think I'll ever have to replace another one.

OE KNOBS ARE NOTORIOUSLY WEAK IN THE STEM I HAVE HAD MANY DIE THIS SAME WAY AND I HAVE REPLACED A FEW TIMERS RUINED BY FRUSTRATED OWNERS WHO GET TOO HANDY WITH PLIERS ON THE PLASTIC TIMER STEMS GO FIGURE BUT THIS NEWEST REPLACEMENT TIMER KNOB HAS A METAL BAND REINFORCING THE SHOULDER OF THE KNOB, SEEMINGLY TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM OF SORRY KNOBS
