Follow the installation instructions and it's easy.
I received the unit promptly and inspected it. Quality appears good and the one page front and back instruction sheet is thorough. I found a place above the eves so the unit had a clear view of the sky. with it installed, I removed the jumper plate from my X-Core control unit and installed they two wires for the sensor. I set the sensor slider on my controller to "active" and I was done. The only additional suggestion I have is to install the two wires to your controller before mounting the sensor. That makes it easier to test. On my controller, a little Umbrella appears on the display when the sensor has been activated.and disappears when the sensor is not interrupting normal irrigation times. to test, have your system in run mode then depress the little button on top of the sensor. The Umbrella should appear then disappear when you stop pressing the button. Another way to test is to instead of pressing the button, simply pour water into the top of the sensor. If the sensor is set to something like 1/8" rain, a little water will activate it. Beyond that one suggestion, I think the unit and instructions are perfect for my use.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
