It works by stopping active rot, gluing and strengthening wood fibers, and sealing porous wood from the inside out. Once cured, it is 100% waterproof. Apply with a brush, roller, or syringe. Want to saturate the wood even deeper?.
Worked as expected, but I didn't expect it to get as hot as it did while curing. I had mixed it in a plastic coffee can and after about 20 minutes it started smoking and melting the plastic. It was a warm day - probably inn the mid 80's. As soon as it got hot, it immediately set and about 1/3 was unfortunately wasted. I never saw anything about heat generation on the directions. So - take home message is to mix it in small amounts, especially in hot weather - and don't discard the unused portion into anything flammable until it cools down.
