Very good but could be great
As other reviews state the has a design flaw that you must correct. The back rest doesn’t touch your back unless you recline. Not exactly a drumming position. The fix is very easy, you just need to bend the bar a little. I put the short end in a bench vice and applied downward pressure until I created more of a bend. Once I did that it was perfect. I only give it 3 stars because if someone doesn’t have the ability or knowledge to bend the bar the backrest is absolutely useless. I seriously don’t know how it was put out this way. Must be designed and tested by non-drummers, because no drummer is going to sit on this lean back and say, "yeah this is a good position." Once you take 2 minutes to bend the bar it is a 5 star throne.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It's Ok for the price
I purchased the Gibraltar 9608MB to go with my new V-Drum set after I sold my Roc-n-Soc with my Acoustic Set. At first sit, I am not overly thrilled. It is now where near as comfortable as the Rock-n-Soc, which was comfortable from the start. The lump in the back of the seat feels a little odd and the back rest has an angle that is not adjustable (the height of the backrest is adjustable but not the tilt angle). It does appear to be well contracted and stable. We will see how it feels after playing on it for a while. It was a grat price for a throne with a backrest, but what I saved in money, I may have lost in comfort.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

great drum throne
This is the 3rd gibraltar drum throne I've used. All have been a little different but are all well made. I love how you can keep the swivel loose enough to make quick height adjustments without having to worry about it not feeling sturdy or it starting to wobble. I bought a different throne for $20 less and returned it because it just wasn't made well. As far as drum throne's go, this one is pretty cheap for how well made it is and the extra $20 was well worth it. The seat is also pretty comfortable.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Comfortable and sturdy
I have not owned this throne long enough for my opinion to be iron clad, but since I've had it I have experienced comfort during my sessions with little to no after session stiffness. The swivel is smooth and the footing is secure......it's a good seat.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Solid and comfortable
