Every Thursday night after yoga, my group meets at a bar to eat steak sandwiches and drink beer. This is called "balance". One of our circle is a health practices enthusiast, always trying something different and frequently unusual.
This is the fellow who told me about gargling with iodine. He says it cured him of ... honestly, I don't remember, because I don't always listen that well, because a lot of the things he tries are ... unusual.
But I remembered the thing about iodine. I looked it up and I encourage you to do the same.
Short version: if you have thyroid issues, don't use it. It can stain your teeth. You shouldn't use it for more than 2 weeks. And so forth. You really should look that stuff up yourself.
Mind you, this is not medical advice - I'm just repeating what I've read.
And, it's not sold in the United States. The product I purchased from Singapore was made in Malaysia. I have no idea what that's about, and it could be that some paper pusher in Washington D.C. has decided it's bad for us. Or, somebody forgot to give him a free vacation in Hawaii. Or something.
But, I ordered it. And, as luck would have it, it arrived on the third day of a miserable sinus infection.
Now, I haven't had a lot of sinus infections, but it's been my experience that they're hard to get rid of.
I gargled with Betadine twice that afternoon. The next morning, I wasn't sick anymore.
What? Yeah, that was unexpected.
Anecdotal. Unscientific. Your mileage may vary.
This product is not available in my area. It is an indispensable for convenient oral disinfection. This rinse will prevent gum deterioration. Thank you for making it available!
