Perfect fit for 1997 Jeep Wrangler
Replaced cap for 1997 Jeep Wrangler. Cap fit is exact. Retainer tip would not feed into filler neck hole with just hand pressure. Using a tool made it feel like I might damage the tip if I pressed any harder. I filed the inside angle of the ears slightly to help them lay flatter and installation was complete. All the qualities of the original cap. I don't like the writing but I imagine that will rub off in time; maybe that's what happened to the original it replaced.

The Gas cap fit well, looked good,.but... The seal wasn't right. Made my " Check Engine " light come on way too many times. Got tired of reseting my computer. Had to go to Jeep Dealer and buy an Orginal. Twice the cost of this one,.but it worked ,.. No more engine codes.

After 15 years, my OEM Locking Gas Cap was a real pain to get off, especially for my wife. Now, there's no issue and where I live, I don't worry about gas thieves, so it's great for us.
