Excellent when wet!
I were these 2 days after I got them. Trout fishing, tail water, water temp was 41 degrees, air temps mid 30s with misty rain/light sleet. Serious conditions- and I spent hours and hours with totally wet hands landing trout after trout. (I always use a net...but my hands were constantly wet releasing fish) They stayed warmer than some parts of my body that were not wet! I have owned the Orvis version (5x the money) and gave them away to our son. I've owned the Cabelas version (3x the money) and they got misplaced.
