Cheesiest Ever!
My granddaughter has celiac disease. She loved to eat Kraft mac & cheese. Tried all gluten free mac & cheese dinners but she's a child and didn't care for any. Nasty! Not what I was expecting...
I have searched for years trying to find a product similar to the cheese that comes with Kraft Macaroni & Cheese. I was so excited to find this product. Unfortunately, this is product is not the same thing. It's not even close. It has very little flavor and the flavor it does have is nasty. All this container is, is powdered food coloring. But to make things worse, its a bright florescent orange [EEEK!] Who wants to eat something that's florescent orange? We love this! We love a cheesier mac & cheese so this allows us to vary it as we wish, not just this dish but to put on popcorn or whatever. I've added a bit in scalloped potatoes, cheesy casseroles, mashed potatoes and twice-baked potatoes. I can't say I do or don't recommend this product. If your looking for a Kraft cheese replacement I think you'll be disappointed. In comparison it's flat tasting. On the other hand it's better than many of the cheese powders I've tasted in generic macaroni & cheese products. It isn't real salty like some it doesn't leave your fingers real orangish. I'd say it's worth the try but buy Kraft macaroni & cheese on sale if your looking to use it for that. You'd be further ahead in my opinion because it would take alot of this to get a cheesy taste..
