Great DE razor for beginners and experienced DE shavers
Nice weight and length. Some complain about the handle but I find it works just fine and does not slip out of my hand. Nice to see Gillette back in the Safety Razor game with a really good product. Love this Razor!
I have really enjoyed this razor! I would say it is slightly more aggressive than an Edwin Jager DE89 which is perfect for me. I'm using Wilkinson Swords and Astra Greens in it and I'm super happy with the results. The price point on this razor will make it a favorite for many as it is easily affordable. My beard doesn't require anything like Feather blades or the Muhle R41 although I have one and use it from time to time . I'd say that I like the weight and feel of the King C Gillette and it is now one of my favorite razors and would highly recommend it. I think you will enjoy it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A world class razor from Gillette
The modern King Gillette double edged safety razor is a perfect combination of quality and style. The head is heavy enough for a close shave with minimal effort but not so heavy that it becomes difficult to control. With a handle that is a bit longer than a classic Gillette razor you have better control when changing positions. If I have one complaint, and it was not easy to come up with one, it would be that the knurling on the handle could be a bit deeper or sharper to provide a better grip with wet soapy hands. Encouraging to see Gillette's new DE razor
Gillette has been out of the double edge safety razor business, in their Western markets at least, for a long time. It's encouraging to see that they have released two razors in the past few years, this and the Heritage razor. This one has a very nice head, slightly more efficient than a DE89 and very comfortable. My new favorite razor
I have half a dozen safety razors which I use on a rotating basis. Some of these are very well-known and fairly expensive. They are very good safety razors. But the Gillette razor has become my new favorite. Nice razor, highly recommended.

An alternative to hi-priced four-blade shavers
Looking for an alternative to hi-priced four-blade shavers, I considered the double-edged old-fashioned razors. They are selling for $50 to $65 online. This one was under $15 and I like it. A good daily shaver
The King C is a mild razor suitable for daily shaving. The King C blades are the same, mild and smooth but only good for a one day shave. This razor with an Astra SP blade will give a 3 pass BBS shave that will last 2 days.
