UVEX S8510 Faceshield
I have been using one of these for the past year and really like it. It fits well, I feel safe with it on and know that it won't stop a brick but it offers great protection. I am a wood turner and also do a lot of grinding on metal and it is still clear after a year of use. This second one is for my winter home in AZ so I don't have to keep hauling it back and forth. light weight and wraps around face
I love this item..... I bought it after recovering from getting a few small pieces of metal in my eye. I wish I would have had it BEFORE I got the metal in my eye...... I cannot stand using safety glasses because I do not like the way they sit on my face. I use this face shield constantly and it is made from an anti fog material so no matter how much I breathe on it or sweat it never fogs up unlike many safety glasses I have used..... Technology certainly has come a long way!
I recently returned to woodturning after a 15 year hiatus. Wow, how technology has changed soo much for the better in that time. I read many recommendations about the uvex bionic faceshield, that I had to try one for myself. Lightweight, anti-fog polycarbonate crystal clear shield a with a superior field of view. Best face shield I have used
It is light weight, comfortable and the detents for height adjustment work very well. The outer framing gives rigidity and a place to hold the unit so you avoid finger smudges on the visor.
