My kind of movie!
alright, either this is ur sort of movie, or it's not. for me, this is wonderful! as a writer, i'm wordy, therefore, I admire when a story is stripped down to its most simple form and yet is still compelling. this is about some Viking who get shipwrecked, get attacked, get a prisoner, hold her for ransom, and then a pursuit begins. it's about them trying to get to a safe haven. the cast is awesome, the story is awesome, the directions is awesome, the cinematography is perfect, the costuming is great. this is just a great film all around to me. I find movies like this to be epic. but that could just be me.

A journey into the Norse.
Although the Nordics were more farmers then berserkers, this saga does portray the determination that the Norse had for self preservation through aggression. The ending kind of left me wanting more of a conclusion though. This movie I found to be intensely brutal entertainment. But, that's the way of their life as it was.

Northman is a thrilling epic. The locations are beautiful, the acting is good, and the story is compelling. It's a pretty straight forward story, but it's spiced up with great action sequences, and there's even a slight love story. I absolutely loved it. 5 stars easy!
