    Version 9-1 works with Windows 10

    I was using version 6 ViaCAD Pro on XP, because it was cheap. Windows 10 put an end to that. This product is everything that version 6 was, except it also runs on Windows 10. It is cheapalso, because it is also outdated, but it does the basic rail sweeps and extrusion just as well as Version 6. I use this package to get the part drawn the first time, and check for overall appearance. It is good for identifying the initial dopey flaws in concept.

    Unbelieveably Powerful For The Price.

    I bought this software to help a friend develop an invention. He needed drawings to present for a potential patent. I was amazed to discover how powerful this software is for the price I paid. I've seen other design programs advertised for hundreds of dollars with fewer features than what Punch offers. While it's true that this software has been replaced by a newer version, don't let that fool you. Version 9 has almost all of the features as Version 10. The only reason I didn't give this software five stars is because it has some quirks that I'm sure were fixed in the new version. Also, it crashes unexpectedly but I'm not sure if the problem is the software or my computer (Windows 7 32 Bit). At first, it's a little tricky to learn but once you get used to the function of the tools, and which menu they're in, it becomes easier to navigate. I highly recommend this design software for anyone who wishes to produce detailed drawings without having to empty your bank account.

    ViaCAD 2D/3D version 9

    Version 9 was purchased as a replacement for version 8 (which was found to be totally unusable with Windows 8). Thus far, I have found the program to be stable and quite usable. I'm still learning how to use it effectively but it's relatively easy to generate 3-D objects. All in all, it is a good value for the price.

    Just received and installed the software, viewed some tutorials, but have not created anything, purchased for 3d Modeling

    Lots of CAD Programs out there, this seemed to be User Friendlist, still complicated learning curve as in all CAD, but Life is a Learning Curve too! The result is no greater than the effort you put into it. We shall see :)

    Packs a big punch for a small price !

    this is excellent software for the price. If you are familiar with solid modelers you will have no trouble adapting to this program. I have used unigraphics for 20 years and thia program is actually easier to use. It is not as powerful as catia or unigraphics but it is still quite powerful and there are plenty of tutorials on youtube to get you started. I am not associated in any way with Punch Software.
