Worked well
After my Mitsubishi WD-60638 failed to start with an error 61, all indicators said it was the color wheel. Replacing is not for the faint of heart...really need electronics repair experience (which I have). People on the web indicated the a wheel that doesn't spin freely is defective, so I ordered this part. When it came in, I was concerned that the new wheel didn't seem to spin any more freely, but installed anyway. I was delighted when I started the TV and it came to life. I was grateful that no additional adjustment or alignment was necessary. It's made from fragile glass and must be kept dust and fingerprint-free during handling to avoid degrading the video image. Bad wheel
I have installed it the tv does not recognize it. ..it is a perfect match I think by the panel not lining up it is not able to recognize it...you can clearly see it does not line up and there are two places like this in the wheel. ...The original wheel you cannot feel where the panels meet they are all flush ...not sure if it makes it spin off balance or why it does not recognize it but would like to return it for one that the panels are all flush .

Needs the controller.
The wheel worked as described, but my controller seemed to be bad also. A complete unit would have been nice, or at least being able to purchase the controller separately would have been a plus.
