For the price this is a good lock box. It is more sturdy than other ones I have bought for the same purpose in the low price range . It comes with a cable which makes it ideal for quickly securing in the vehicle. I was looking for a box for two small handguns. This one fits my 38 caliber Smith & Wesson Along with a small Glock. Awesome gun box! Well made little box is professionally constructed, not a cheapy tin box like I was suspecting I might get for twenty-something bucks. Changing the combination could not have been easier - move one little lever, set it to your own number and you're done. It holds one gun well, I might be able to squeeze in 2 small handguns, but it's really made for 1 gun in my opinion. It should work
I installed the safe in my car last week and so far it’s doing the job. But then no one has tried to steal it. It’s a tight fit under my car seat but I can slide it out. The cable is long enough so that I can lay the safe on the passenger seat and use the combination option to open it. No cutting cost on this. It is well made and strong exactly what I need for transport and keeping my grandchildren safe. I gave this 5 stars even though the tab where the cable attaches to the box was bent and would not receive cable stud. Took care of that with light ballpiene hammer.
