Would recommend
The DVD has all three movies of good quality, English or Japanese language and subtitles. It is disappointing (large) subtitles are required to watch the English audio version if you hope to read the Japanese writing during the movies. Understandable, but since the subtitles don't match up with the audible speech, it's certainly distracting. My only other complaint is that forwarding or skipping is impossible. If you have any reason to do so, too bad. Overall a good product and I'm happy I made the purchase.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great movies, sub par dvd
The live action death note movies are a great adaptation of a captivating manga and anime. Although they do take a few sidetrips, they capture the magic and true feeling of the story. Although it is a great value to have all three live action movies on one DVD, the design leaves much to be desired. The outer packaging looks almost like a bootleg, save for the production codes on the side and back. The menu is bland, showcasing very little besides the selection buttons for the movies, and the language options. These are very minor complaints, as buying the movies separately can be quite costly. I am also unsure if special featuree exist for the separate movies, aside from previews that were not present in this set. Overall, this DVD is the best value for these movies and should be a welcome addition to any death note fan's collection.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great for Death Note Enthusiasts
This was a really great deal! I loved that I could have all three movies in one place. The quality isn't amazing, but I'm personally not annoyed about that. I loved the English dubs (same voice actors as the anime English dubs). I really enjoyed watching these! Be aware that the information on the back cover is not correct. There is only one disc, and there are no Chinese language options (dubs or subs).

Yes. Very pleased with this product. Dvd is all 3 movies. Audio- it has it In English Dub And original Japanese audio. Also has english & Japanese subtitles as well. You can watch in Japanese with english subtitles. Or vice versa. I personally like english dubb with english subtitles. But you have all the options. Arrived like new. Very pleased. Very good movie.
I feel this live action movie was a very good adaptation of the anime considering the time it was created. Unlike the more recent live action movies of Fullmetal Alchemist or Bleach, I got to say these movie stayed close to the theme of the anime and the character portrayal was accurate.
