    Lightweight, but somewhat ineffective

    I expected this rubber-based mute to really quiet my violin. It was not nearly as effective as the metal one I was hoping to replace. So, I guess it's OK if all you want is a little dampening, but if you really want a quiet sound, use a metal one.

    Great mute
