This is the best bicycle bell you can buy! It's an attractive, solid brass bell w/ a LOUD ring that has a beautiful tone quality and LONG resonance. It will get anyone's attention...even those yahoos who are wearing headphones. The handle bar fixture is brass and only fits small diameter handlebars. However, it's easy to have the it replaced (go to a bike store) to fit larger handle bars. I ordered one for my tour bike and, later, three additional bells for my family's bikes. This is the best high quality SOLID BRASS bell I have ever used, It has a high quality crisp resonating sound only solid brass will give you. Steel, brass plated, aluminum, stainless steel is not going to make the same sound that a solid brass bell makes. For me this is the best SOLID BRASS bell i have ever used and I would buy it again. The bell is LOUD. Which is what you want from a bell. It's a very good looking piece of hardware. Mounts easily on the bar.
