Sturdy and reliable, seals well.
Great construction and sturdy hinges and clasps. The seal is water-tight in weather (don't know about submersion). While it appears to meet US airline carry-on size restrictions for larger aircraft in the US, I had trouble with it being allowed as take-on on some international carriers in Europe and Africa, which sometimes seem to have tighter restrictions, including weight, for overhead baggage. This could be an issue if you have packed a lot of gear inside, or if they insist to take it out of your sight for regular baggage handling. But the product itself is terrific and durable.
