A good buy for your 1911
The slide release that comes with a stock 1911 is so hard to operate without changing your grip. Some people can do it, I can’t. This extended slide release changes everything, and this one slides in nicely, though like all extended slide release is you may need to promote the front portion of your hand grip on the left side. It’s well worth it. Also a full length guide rod, drop in magazine well, and extended magazine release, all make a stock 1911 Much more fun to shoot with just about $100 to buy all of those parts!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not great, requires lots of work to function.

It's wilson combat, I bought a Tisas 1911 Duty model and it's a nice gun, but first time shooting it the slide release was so tight it was hard to release the slide , first time I have experience that, I had a colt government model longtime ago , great right out of the box, but after 100 rounds it was working fine, so I bought Wilson Combat extended slide release, fit great no problems, works as it should, so later on I will change out more parts and put Wilson combat parts in an inexpensive pistol, and it will be nice for the price range!

Wilson Combat is Top-Notch!
I have always been ambidextrous and after discovering my welding using my left hand looked like a true professional had been at work. I already knew I was left eye dominant so I finally decided to learn how to shoot left-handed too. That is when I began modifying my old 1911 for left-handed operation. The extended slide release allows operation of the slide with the left hand with minimal grip position shifting. I also have installed bi-lateral thumb safeties and Wilson's extended magazine release for the same reasons. I am also installing their Commander-style hammer and beavertail grip safety. Excellent quality. Purchased for Kimber 2k11. There is minor fitment required to slim the extended portion approximately 1.5-2mm to clear the hand guard. The catch itself also needed some minor fitment but functions absolutely perfectly and you can fit this with a simple grinding wheel and dremel too with ceramic grinding stone. Great part,well manufactured, easy replacement
This product worked great in my Mag. Research Undercover. It fit perfect and solved the problem I was having in that the slide would not lock back after the last shot was fired. This happened 50 percent of the time even with different magazines. There was no modifications done to it ,just replaced it with the new part and it works great.
