With their low power consumption these models set standards in this class. Manufacturer: Eheim. Manufacturer : Eheim. Directions: Put on the pump head and examine the o-ring for correct fitting. Place filter underneath aquarium – it must be below water level.
Couldn't tell the size of the canister in pictures, but found it small in size but when I put it together and installed it on my 29 gallon aquarium, was quite surprised in its power and very quiet, and unlike other canister filters I've own it is so plain to the eye but is very versatile in that you can add any media and filter pads you prefer if you don't want what it brought though eheim makes great bio media which I'm using. Would recommend to anyone looking for a canister filter.
The 2211, Classic 150, is perfect for my 29,30,and 37 gallon aquariums. The Classic 250 was a bit too powerful for my 30 gallon tank, made more more a 55. I like the sturdy base that comes with the 2211. Mine also came with filter media and valves. The 2211's are rugged and don't leak. The green tubes blend best in a planted aquarium.
This small canister filter works well as a denitrator for my marine systems. All I add is a bypass system so the pump is not working against a small return flow, and an injector on the intake side to inject a carbon source. The total cost of the system is substantially less than the cost of commercial denitrators.
Before I purchased this filter, I wrote to you asking if this filter is still made in Germany. You never responded to my question. However, I still purchased the filter and do not regret it. Great item to have and easy to put together. Works very well.
