It is slightly heavier than a standard RUBBER DUCK type antenna ...the helical wound wires within it are of a higher gauge...reception is better...not that you need it with a hand-held unit, but I suspect this antenna can take a higher input wattage . Bill shipped FAST!!! Great updates on shipping and follow up. Now the Antenna VSWR is 1.1 on channel 20 (mid band) at ch 40 and ch 1 is around 1.7 but its tuneable if you want to run at the band edges. just remember to put the rubber cap back on when checking the match or you will get "false" SWR readings!! and the antenna length at 10 inches and not too flexible you will know its on your belt.also it still receives WX weather band on my Midland 75-822 HT fairly well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great replacement CB antenna
I recommend this to anyone else who has a handheld CB with a BNC connector. I got a couple old CBs and the original antenna on one of them had a really high SWR.
