Great idea and cheaper than buying a new pair of workshoes that have a meta guard built in. , They are a nice addition to any shoe you need extra protection for. They are made of a pvc and I am not sure what there condition would be after taking a direct hit but preventing a serious injury to my metatarsal appears as if it's covered.
