    Extra Work on the Holster

Over all it is a decent product but I finished it to my taste. Dull tool marks are everywhere. I started sanding and it looks better. I am not sure how I will finish it, probably with linseed or Tru- Oil. I re-positioned the hinge, which was crooked. Why? The counter sunk holes for the screws are not deep enough, two are very easy to drill a little deeper, the other two of the hinge cannot be re-sunk, because the metal hinge for the leather strap is too close, I will have to shorten the two screws to make it look better. I had to file the dove tail and spring until it fit my pistols. The metal parts are painted, I may blue the steel parts which looks a lot better. The wood is very soft and several dings are noticeable. $50 is a fair price and I will enjoy it when I get to the range

    Quality

The leather parts are perfect in every aspect. The metal parts are OK for the price but the fitting wood to metal parts and wood finish could be improved a lot. anyway, if you have some ability to work with wood is a great deal; you can refinish the wood parts at a very good elve.

  • Its exactly what you would expect for 50 bucks.....

Pros: It only costs 50 bucks Cons: the color is way off, the wood feels like balsa and you will have to file the latch to fit it to your gun. All in all, its not bad considering the cost of an original. Be advised, its not fooling anyone though.

  • Item is as advertised.

Item is as advertised. Stock attached to my KWC Mauser replica. Pistol fits inside when magazine removed. Original guns didn't have magazines. They loaded from the top.Leather is strong and quite thick. I stained the wood to match the grips on my pistol. Other than that. Very happy with item.

  • Extremly badly made

The inside is a nightmare and the hole fore the handle of the gun is not alined. (The lid and the stock contain half a hole each ) The hole has the shape like a sliced tomato who has slipped sideways so the top and bottom part is not alined any more. Bottom line ,it was cheap and quick to build i guess.

  • Get what you pay for

Requires extensive work. The stain and finish is poor, poor quality wood, and internals are completely unfinished, not even sanded. When it arrived, it was already falling apart, I had to put it back together

  • broomhandle stock

good quality for price. Several others were listed 2-3 times the cost. Did require a little custom fitting with file in metal latch.

  • Stock your C96 Mauser

Pretty decent repro for the money. Originals are VERY expensive and hard to come by. Unless you have a rare museum piece, this will look OK. Requires a bit of fitting, but I understand the originals do too.
