Its a little wonky in some respects. Tray is fragile but not a deal breaker. Doing what my Superdrive did until it locked a disc inside. The eject button disables upon load but you can unplug and connect to USB power and then eject. Using to transfer old DVD's to HD for portability. Seems to be pretty well built. Plugged right into the Mac and worked. Also works through powered hub without any issue, although instructions advise against doing so.
