Helping your diabetic friend
My buddy Tomcat Chuck is diabetic. Adopted him from a Vet Hospital. Before starting him on DM his blood sugar was very high at 360+ with insulin. After being on a strict diet of DM for a little over three weeks his blood sugar has dropped to an average of 170 with no change to his insulin intake. This cat food has a high protein level and low carbs, what a diabetic cat needs. I also give him canned DM and I feed him boiled chicken also. DM is more expensive than the everyday dry cat food but it's well worth it to me to see a marked difference in his health. Make sure your friend drinks plenty of water also. A pet water fountain is a magnet for cats. They drink more water using it.
