Great for homeschool
I bought these iron filings for homeschool, to demonstrate magnetic lines of force, and to show that magnetism penetrates glass, wood, paper, etc. The filings are small enough to demonstrate weak as well as strong fields. They did not become magnetized even when using rare earth magnets, so that they can be reused.
