Amusing Lionel Creation
First of all, I purchased the trolley used, and apparently, had been in storage a long time. It's a really cute lionel product with interior lighting and images of passengers and conductor along the sides, which really show up when the trolley is running and the light is on. The chassis and motor are rather durable but the body shell is plastic and as such must be handled with care. The trolley will run in both directions and reverses when it contacts a track bumper (sold separately). A wire antenna-like object on the top of the trolley turns around when the trolley reverses direction. My trolley required some disassembly and lubrication of the motor and drive gears in order for it to run smoothly down the track. It still has an issue with reversing one direction which will require more significant maintenance. Unfortunately, no maintenance information accompanied the trolley, I'll have to do some research or talk to someone knowledgeable about that. When purchasing used, recommend asking how the trolley runs and whether it's been thoroughly tested. Also ask whether instruction manual is included.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
