    I wanted this tank as an exercise, for painting and using Mr Surfacer

    to make the rough turret casting. For that it is just fine (I'm waiting for my 1/16 Hooben T55 to come and wanted to practice on something else first). This model is not very good quality. The moldings show very little detail. The parts fit is bad, on most of the parts there is no locater pin or tab and y ou have to glue edge to edge, meaning, you will be redoing a lot of parts when the glue doesn't hold. Next time I'd get a Tamiya, probably worth another $10 for that. This paint job copies the Syrian army camo scheme from the 1973 Yom kipper war... I used Mig yellow ochre, Mig light green khaki and Testor's neutral gray... these are acrylics vs. the old style enamels, for modelling acrylics are really the way to go. They go on light, meaning you can do any number of repaints if you want to, and they dry faster then enamels. Just don't mix enamels with acrylic thinners/paints since they are not compatible.

    30 year old kit but I knew that

    This kit is a 30 year old mold. Main issue is it’s poor quality tracks which require some stretching. Be careful they break easily. Currently there is no lost damaged support from Lindberg. If you are building this kit, after market tracks will needed.
