Excellent sound. Wish the "over ear" was easier to insert. Fins essential during workouts.
My first pair of BT IEMs. I was pleasantly surprised at the sound quality and how well they work. I have had minor dropouts at times, but not anything that makes me want to go back to wires. The Jaybird App is a must for getting the right flat response. The Comply Foam tips insure proper sound isolation and bass response. I wear the X4 "down" because in the "over ear" position the fins are difficult to fit into the ears due to the cord strain relief. It is not flexible enough to push out of the way when inserting the fins. I would rather wear the X4 in the "over ear" position but removal of the fins is not an option. The weight of the IEMs makes use of fins absolutely necessary. The X4's will not stay in the ear during workouts without them.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Don't fit well
I find the ear buds don't fit well in my ear. The design with the fins is kind of strange. I much prefer over the ear like beats. I do like that they are waterproof and that was the biggest reason I bought them. Overall great product with minor downsides
Overall: great! I am quite satisfied with my purchase. The reviews are quite accurate on the pros and cons: Pro: - sound quality - battery life - fit options - EQ options - good for sports/physical activity - range Con: - Quite awkward (silly) charging method but it works. - mic pickup not great (fixed by wearing cord in front of neck instead of back). - Can't use it while biking due to extreme sound cancellation. What I'm particularly happy about is that due to the varied fitting options, I am able to fit it in my ears that have very small ear canals AND the noise level is just within tolerable. Makes earbud shopping a chore but this did the job. I just wish there were an option for fitting that doesn't block out so much sound. That way I could hear others around me and the sound wouldn't be so loud at lowest volume. I can't give a full five stars based on the cons but I HIGHLY recommend this product! Great wireless headphones for running
I was skeptical at first but I am really happy with these headphones. The sound is fine, you don’t need high quality when pounding the pavement. I love the X4. I have owned at least10 of themove the past several years. I can adust them to really fit my ears and I wear them with working im my woodshop, working out on my exercise equipment, and just listening to music while I go to sleep. Simple and a bit retro, durable and easy calls
I like this design and I wished it would continue. I like the convenience of the 3 button thumb panel which also serves as a mic for taking calls, and I find if you can secure it close to your neck or jaw, it comes through really loud and clear even if you're wearing equipment. I like that the two ear buds are connected by the strap, I wear that behind the neck, and so when I take them down, they can hang and balance around the neck. The charging dock and placing the thumb panel in for charging is a bit awkward.
