Cleared Up My Snail Tank
I bought this for a 5.5 gallon aquarium and it has the water looking crystal clear. I was previously using an over the back filter but it was always getting clogged and did not hold up well to the algae wafers I feed to my snails. The Aquatop filter has worked 1000x better. Air output was a bit much for my little tank but nothing an air adjuster valve can't fix. I did have to use a suction cup on the airline to keep it anchored.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Might be a little too small
This was bought for Nano tank 2 and 1/2 gallon of tank to be particular and believe it or not this may be a tad too small to be practical. Possibly I guess this is just to keep something with beneficial bacteria in the tank but as for the actual sponge is so small I just don't see how much filtration it can be providing. It looks cool though but I had that argument with another small Sponge Filter just about twice the size. It arrived quickly it's quality is very high but like I said it may just be too small to be practical. I don't know if I'll buy another.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Nice looking little filter. One complaint is that it does not sink even ingesting water inside its compartment. The rock weight wouldn’t sink it. Great little filter!
I have a 3.5 gal tank and thought this filter would be too much or too big for the tank. Much to my surprise it not only looks great, it cleans way better than the over the back filter i was using previously. Great product and super cheap price foe the quality!
