Once Snapped Don't Unsnap!
The hat is shipped with the brim unsnapped from the crown. I snapped the brim into place to try it on. I read a caution about being careful with the snaps so when I embellished the hat I carefully tried to unsnap it. The half of the snap on the brim side popped off. I had to use a screwdriver to dislodge it from the other half of the snap, super glue it back onto the brim and use a hammer to snap it back into place. If you purchase this hat, do not plan to unsnap the brim once it is snapped into place. Otherwise I was satisfied with the quality of the hat for my costume. The fit was fine for me, I am a woman with a size large head. The snaps were black but they are too noticeable to wear the hat in a shape other than tricorn, with one side down, for example.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Everything We Wanted in a Hat.
We were looking for a plain, untrimmed hat. Other hats online had fancy trim and feathers that my husband did not like. When we took it out of the package, it looked a little strange until we saw the snaps. The hat fit my husband's head perfectly. It is well made, not too thick or thin, and comfortable. Perfectly Good for the Price
The hat arrived already buttoned, which was perfectly fine with me. Having seen other reviews where issues with the buttons were mentioned, I don't plan on unbuttoning the brim. The hat looks great! It looks like an authentic felt tricorn hat. The fitting isn't adjustable, but it fits well enough for me. I would guess the sizing is on the large size.
