    Very helpful

Since i have limited movement after hip replacement and due to old age/arthritis i have difficulty getting my sock on as well as my compression sock . This is a very good item and the only thing i could say to improve it would be to add more of that black foam that holds the sock in place . Sometime it does not fully put the sock on ,the compression sock is jsut an added bonus since i dont think this was made for that . But i have enough reach to grab the sock to finish pulling it up all the way . Much cheaper then buying from a medical supply store in my area . Highly recommend if you have trouble reaching your feet and putting socks on .

  • Top critical review

AN IMPROVEMENT NEEDED FOR THIS DESIGN.

The plastic is so rigid to get the foot into, makes it difficult to even start. The black piece to fasten on the bottom was too restrictive, making it hard to pull sock on. Needs to be thinner. I scraped most of mine off. Recommend? I don't know. The one I used in rehab was much easier, but same design. Why? I have no idea!

  • Best for smaller feet, but works on men's too

Took a bit of a learning curve on exactly how to position the sock, but works slick once you do. It's a bit difficult getting my foot started into it, an extra 1/2", even 1/4" of width would do wonders. So it takes some wiggling to get all my toes started inside, but once they are, again it works slick. Softer rope would be nice, it comes mighty close to the protruding ankle bone, making it uncomfortable at times. Overall, there is room for improvement, one would be different sizes rather than one size fits most. Softer rope is also desirable, as would be better directions on placing the sock. That all said, it gets the job done.

  • I would change only one thing

If I had to make this myself, I would leave off the foam rubber circle thing. My wife had been shown one of these by a physical therapist who had removed the rubber circle and found that it worked better. Having limited manual dexterity, my wife found that the foam circle prevented her getting her socks onto the slide. Using the therapists one with the foam removed proved much easier to apply the sock to the aid and much easier to slide the aid out of the sock when putting them on.

  • Life made easy!

I am disabled and have had total hip replacements. When I left the hospital one of the "tools" they gave me was a sock-aid just like this one. Down the road I gave those things away not thinking I'd need them again. I've been needing one for quite a while but I'm stubborn and tried to do it on my own until I just couldn't anymore. I am so glad I bought this sock-aid. It's amazing how something so trivial [to some] is such a life changer to those of us who need assistance with the simplest of things. This is a great tool and I now don't have to yell for my husband or adult son to come help me with my stupid socks. It makes you feel so inadequate and even depressed when you need help just to put socks on! So now, I can cross this off my list as far as who will help me with my socks 'today'. Again, it's a great tool and even people who need help only sometimes would never have to worry which day because with THIS tool they're covered!! I can't believe how FAST it came, either!! NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL......THANK YOU!!!

  • Sock Aide

My mother broke her femur bone and at age 85 could not put her sock on to reach her foot. The nurses at the nursing home suggested one of these and after searching Ebay, I found this one to be the best quality and it was at a great price. Item is made of a sturdy plastic, robes are thick so they do not stretch or break and the plastic grips hold strong when putting/pulling the aid up to get the sock on. In my opinion, this one is actually better than the ones they had at the nursing home. I would highly recommend this sock aide to anyone who needs assistance in getting their socks on but can't reach their feet. It's high quality for a truly awesome price. Jo Gordon

  • A Great Product

I bought one of these 2 1/2 years ago after my hip surgery and it was great. I didn't have to bend down as far to put on my stockings. I've recommended this product to my friends who have given this product 5 stars also. After researching this product this company had the best around price and service.. I'm using this one to modify for my hip compression stockings. Hopefully I won't need another one, but if I do, I would revisit this sellers products.

  • Sock Putteroner Thingy

I have terrible feet and bad knees that won't bend. My podiatrist has told me many times I must wear socks for the health of my feet but it was almost impossible to get socks on. Well this little jewel has changed my life in a positive way. No more taking a half hour to put on one sock. My podiatrist helped me find this on ebay. You Rock Sock Putteroner Thingy !!!

  • A different brand than advertised - to small for my foot.

Described on eBay as a G4 Medical sock puller. It is a different brand of smaller size and flimsy compared with my older G4 Medical. The smaller size means it doesn't suit my foot size. Probably more suited to a small women's foot.
