Sad, amazing, forgotten game.
My GF n I have discussed this in loooong amounts of entirety. And with the plethora of folks I have talked to within a span of months, it has come to my attention, & a dead obvious(stereotypically to state) that My Little Pony ccg died out the way it did because (at 1 example of the many) because guys don't play with ponies. I've heard inner politics, phobias, pride, and anti-bronie attributes that were just all cons (almost nothing pro) about someone, ANYONE to come up with a strategy in a deck and play. I mean every single battle card game has fighting. And every single one of those cards games has the exact same format that everyone has thought of; Magic- someone has a mill deck;Yu-Gi-Oh- someone has a control deck;Pokémon- has a discard deck. And it just do happens one of the few non fighting card games that has no fighting (swords, axes, guns, etc. ) you think there's nothing to do. WELL THERE IS! My GF made a seize deck that is just downright amazing, and would work in Magic comfortably aside from the format. There is conflict in the game, you do put down (frighten) characters, & point system... one doesn't even have to watch the cartoon to enjoy the game. (AHEM) All I'm saying is I feel it wasn't given a fair shot, and gamers missed out on a great alternative to the usual. We are Magic players, & I still play my very 1st ccg(VS- the original).
