The Dunlop SP Sport 5000 is Dunlop's Ultra High Performance All-Season radial tire designed for drivers of sports cars, sports coupes and high-performance sedans. The SP Sport 5000 is made to provide Ultra-High Performance and all-season versatility by blending traction in dry and wet roads. Depending on the tire size and Original Equipment vehicle application, the tire's feature either an asymmetric or symmetric tread design to tune their comfort, traction and performance characteristics. Most lower profile sizes feature an asymmetric tread design that features large interconnected outer shoulder blocks and independent intermediate tread blocks to enhance dry road cornering and stability, while the inner tread blocks with open shoulder grooves reduce the risk of hydroplaning.
