True picture of the early 80s
"The Normal Heart" shows a true picture of the AIDS crisis of the late 70s and early 80s. HBO should be commended again for this portrayal . About 10-15 years ago they [HBO] made "Longtime Companion" which also depicted the early AIDS crisis. The acting in "The Normal Heart" is above reproach , they each embody the characters they portray. Mark Ruffalo, Matt Bomer, and Julia Roberts do an outstanding job, along with Jim Parsons.
