Not your little kid pencils!
Very impressive quality. The pencil shafts are made of cedar, pretty fine grain. The color pencil component is a water color base. This allows for such things as correcting mistakes, blending colors on paper, etc. I tried a Q-tip with one drop of water and acheived very nice effects.
